Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Receiving/Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team at Rohde & Schwarz in Frederick, MD. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This role involves receiving, verifying, and shipping materials accurately while maintaining inventory control and supporting continuous process improvements.

Your tasks

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Accurately sort, count, and record items in SAP or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
• Prepare and process outbound shipments according to company standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
• Operate basic hand tools and measuring instruments as needed.
• Support warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Safely operate forklifts (training available if needed).
• Perform other duties assigned by manager

Your qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of SAP or similar ERP experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures: receiving, inventory control.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of material maintenance, product codes, kitting, and production orders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent work authorization required.
• Forklift experience preferred (training available).

The total compensation for this position is $22-28 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
