Full-Time Director of Reporting and Data Analytics

Reports To: Chief of Population Health

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics and business intelligence strategy that aligns with the Health Center's clinical, financial, and operational goals. Champion a data-driven culture throughout the Health Center.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts and report writers. Oversee project allocation, professional development, and performance management to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
  • Epic Data and Reporting: Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic data sources, including Clarity, Caboodle, and Reporting Workbench. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Epic's native tools.
  • Clinical and Operational Analytics: Collaborate with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting needs. Provide insightful analysis to support quality improvement, population health management, value-based care initiatives, and operational workflows.
  • Data Governance & Integrity: Collaborate with other subject matter experts to establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Oversee data validation processes and maintain the integrity of our analytical systems.
  • Regulatory and Grant Reporting: Support timely and accurate submission of all required external reporting, including the Uniform Data System (UDS), HRSA requirements, and other federal, state, and grant-related data requests.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Oversee liaison between the data team and other departments. Translate complex data concepts and findings into clear, understandable, and actionable information for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

Required

  • Master’s degree in health informatics, Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, a related field, or comparable work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
  • Experience in managing team of clinical informatics specialists
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to delivery, in a fast-paced environment
  • Direct experience in a healthcare setting
  • Expertise with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience with an Electronic Health Record system both, Epic and Athenahealth
  • Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools: Tableau and Power BI
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences

Preferred

  • Epic training in a relevant data model (Clarity, Caboodle) or analytics application
  • Experience working in an FQHC or safety-net organization
  • Familiarity with UDS (Uniform Data System) reporting
  • Experience with statistical programming languages such as R or Python
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)

Compensation and Benefits :

  • Salary: $100,000.00 - 110,000.00 per year
